I have been a draughtsman since the year 2000. I thoroughly enjoy my job. Draughting is my life. I know I have the skills to draw anything that has been made by man or will be made by man. I know I can fit into any discipline that is required of me. Over the years my disciplines have ranged from control & instrumentation (C&I) to piping to sheet metal to structural to mechanical to electrical to house plans which I have done in my spare time and other disciplines I have come across over the last 25 years.
When it comes to interpersonal skills I am a little quieter than loud but do form good relationships with those I work with and with clients and suppliers. I am a patient person and seem to function best when there is pressure. I work well within the team and believe my input into projects is constructive. Believing in people’s abilities and helping them grow is fulfilling. I find finding solutions and working outside the box where necessary is exciting especially when the idea becomes a reality. It is really a joy to see what you have drawn right in front of you as being tangible, be it a part, a cabinet with mechanicals, just the finished project.
